Message from the Executive Director
In 2018 the Foundation adjusted its support model and increased the number of people served by 60%. It reorganised the mutual support groups, with a coordinator and permanent facilitators, and took its training to more municipalities.
That year it presented the study on the prevalence of child sexual abuse, the result of two years of work: 30% of adults in the Santiago Metropolitan Region were victims of sexual abuse before the age of 18. The Observatory for Trust (Observatorio para la Confianza) delivered three technical reports on the specialised protection system and supported the opening of a family residence in Valparaíso.
The team drew up a short-, medium- and long-term strategic plan and refined the mission and vision. Staff grew from 7 to 12 people, and the Foundation committed to improving its team’s working conditions as well.
Executive Director, 2018: José Andrés Murillo Urrutia.
