Support from the Foundation
We listen to you, we believe you and we support you
We support people who have been victims of sexual violence, their families and those close to them. You can ask for guidance even if a long time has passed or you are still not sure what happened.
Guidance is free of charge. We are available Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 18:00 and on Fridays from 9:00 to 14:00 (Chile time). These channels are not an emergency service.
Support for children and adolescents
Adults and institutions have the responsibility to prevent abuse and to organise protection. A child or adolescent does not have to show that they knew how to look after themselves in order to receive help.
The Foundation provides direct care from the age of 18. If the person who needs help is under 18, we guide their family or a trusted adult and refer them to the appropriate services.
For children
The right to receive care, to be listened to and to find people to turn to.
For adolescents
Information about your rights and ways to ask for support. Your views must be taken into account in the decisions that affect you.
For adults
How to listen to a child’s account without interrogating, and how to seek help in order to protect.
Forms of support
The team advises on the options according to each situation and the availability of care. You can get in touch without having made a report to the authorities.
Psychological guidance
First contact and support, information and accompaniment to decide on the next steps and to reach support networks.
Clinical care
Individual care specialising in trauma. Ask the team about the availability, conditions and cost of this service.
Mutual Support Groups (GAMU)
Group spaces accompanied by a team of facilitators. Ask about upcoming groups and the conditions for taking part.
Care during support
Each person has their own history, their own needs and their own pace. Support must respect their dignity, without requiring a full account, a report to the authorities or recovery within a set time.
Children and adolescents have the right to receive explanations they can understand, to express their concerns and to take part in decisions according to their progressive autonomy. Adults remain responsible for the measures of care.
The information you share must be safeguarded. Before hearing an account, the team must explain how that information will be handled and the limits of confidentiality where action is required to protect someone or to comply with a legal obligation.
Help in the event of immediate danger
If there is danger right now, call 133, the Carabineros (police) emergency number. Children and adolescents can also call 147, Fono Niños (the Carabineros children’s helpline).
