Message from the Executive Director

The 2021 FECU did not include the Executive Director’s letter. This summary is put together from the data in the document.

It was a year of growth in remote support, in the middle of the pandemic. Línea Libre, with the support of the municipalities of Providencia and Las Condes, the Office of the Children’s Ombudsperson (Defensoría de la Niñez) and INJUV (the National Youth Institute), received 19,144 contacts. The Foundation also ran Hablemos de Todo, the National Youth Institute’s chat for young people aged 15 to 29, and SOL, a mental health guidance service during the pandemic, funded by Anglo American.

The Foundation closed the year with a surplus, after two years of deficit, and organised itself into five areas: Research, Prevention and Education, Comprehensive Support with its remote services, Projects, and Institutional Support.

Executive Director, 2021: Valentina Correa Uribe.
