Executive Director
Message from the Executive Director
In 2023 the Foundation kept working to be a national reference point in the support and recovery of children and adolescents, and of adults who were victims of sexual violence in childhood.
It signed more than 30 referral agreements with mental health centres. Línea Libre gave guidance to more than 6,000 children and adolescents, mainly about suicidal behaviour, anxiety and relationships with others. With the Santiago Metropolitan Regional Government it opened Quédate, a suicide prevention chat that served more than 5,000 people in eight months.
The year was also difficult: economic uncertainty and the crisis of trust in foundations made it hard to close agreements. Quédate ended, Línea Libre’s hours were reduced and the team went from 30 to 10 people. The challenges for 2024–2028 were to expand Línea Libre, relaunch specialised psychological care and the mutual support groups, and diversify funding.
Executive Director, 2023: Alejandra Riveros.
